El tallado describe con qué precisión están talladas y colocadas entre sí las facetas del diamante para reflejar de la mejor forma posible la luz que entra en la piedra hacia el ojo de quien la observa. Precisamente el tallado es, de las 4C, el factor que más decide cuánto \"brilla\" realmente el diamante, es decir, su fuego, su destello y su brillo general.
